Year-long counsel for purpose-led leaders forging what's next.

Where personal growth meets strategy.

Vision → Capacity.
Desire & Constraint → Strategy.
Impossible → Inevitable.

Your vision isn't done expanding. Your leadership isn't done evolving.

It's calling you deeper.

The Collective Counsel is year-long forge for founders, funders, and executives who know their vision is needed — and can feel it stretching them.

Because personal growth makes strategy possible — who you're being shapes what you see and what you build next. And becoming that leader? That's the work we do here.

Together this is where visionary leaders expand what's possible—for their impact, their teams, and themselves.

The Invitation

Leaders at the highest levels face a unique challenge: the bigger the vision, the more it stretches you. You’re holding a vision in unprecedented complexity. Executing with a full plate, full calendar, and full responsibility.  Most leadership development addresses either personal growth or strategic execution—rarely both, and almost never in integration. The Collective Counsel is where vision and capacity grow together.

Because being the responsible one – the capable one, the one who steps in – has been your superpower. And what’s calling you next, your bigger vision, does not need to be more weight. It asks for a different capacity: to convene, to create the conditions, and to build with others what you and your team can not build alone.

That's not a failure.
It's your invitation.

COLLECTIVE COUNSEL: FOR THE REAL WORK OF LEADERSHIP

My daughter’s play therapy is called The Real Work. I love that because for elementary kids, navigating relationships and developing emotional resilience — that is the real work to do at their stage.

The Real Work for leaders at your level?

Not another thing on your plate.

It's the work underneath the work: Vision and capacity. Insight and strategy. Claiming the space to steward the vision.

Together we slow down enough for you to sense into your most alive strategic questions and receive three distinct things: your own insight given room to surface, peer counsel, and my coaching – the hot seat and the questions that slice through to what’s real. This is where complexity gets metabolized, impossible visions find their path, and leaders gain mirrors who see their next breakthrough before they do.

The real work includes:

  • Holding creative tensions—the heartbreak and possibility, your expertise and others’
  • Shifting from expert to convener—leading through gathering, delegating boldly, carrying less weight
  • Working across levels—self, team, organization, and system simultaneously
  • Cross-sector collective wisdom—learning from leaders across philanthropy, social enterprise, and tech
  • Sensing and strategic thinking – seeing the strategic insight in what feels off and in your desire

This is the real work of leadership. No curriculum. No modules. You are the curriculum.

You bring the questions, tensions, and challenges you’re walking—and we work them here.

Not just the problems. Possibility. And the win you want to celebrate.

It’s peers who ask the questions that slice through to what's real. And a guide who tracks the pattern you're living and names what you haven’t seen – yet.

The challenges that keep you up, the ones you wrestle with for months, the opportunities that are nudging but haven’t yet had your full attention–we move in 90 minutes. The clarity you've been reaching for rises to the surface.

Not because we rush – because with the right guide and curated peers, we create the conditions for your clarity to emerge – and to stick.

Whole human welcome.

You can never be too big here – bring the biggest win, the global stage, the vision no one else can see yet.

And you can never be too small – bring the uncertainty, the heartbreak, the questions you can’t ask anywhere else.

Whole human, because the parenting, the caregiving, the life you’re holding alongside the work isn’t separate from your leadership – it’s the practice ground, the mirror and sometimes the source of your deepest why for the work.

Not time out for a program—time invested in the challenges you’re already carrying. Private recordings available when travel (and life) happens, but most leaders protect this hold—it’s where your real questions get space and support to be worked.

You leave every session  lighter – carrying less, seeing more, Your vision expanded, your role in it clear, and the weight you walked in with, redistributed to those meant to hold it with you.

What Leaders Say

I don't come to coaching as a blank slate either. I have a doctorate, teach doctoral students, have spent decades in healthcare and leadership, and am accustomed to being the person others look to for answers.

Jeanine still makes me stop and think.

She has an uncanny intuition and an ability to see both my strengths and my blind spots — sometimes before I can see them myself. She is incredibly smart, honest, and direct, but delivers the truth with compassion. She doesn't tell me what I want to hear. She tells me what I need to hear and then challenges me to decide what I'm going to do with it.

And she sees the whole person.

I’m an executive and nurse leader, but I’m also a solo parent, a daughter, and caregiver to my mom. Those experiences have shaped how I lead: my resilience, independence, empathy, determination, and instinct to take care of people. Jeanine has helped me recognize those qualities as strengths while also challenging me to see when those very same strengths can get in my way.

That's coaching at another level.

Perhaps what I value most is that Jeanine sees a version of me as a leader that I am still growing into. She doesn’t coach me to become someone else’s version of a great leader. She helps me become a more courageous, intentional, self-aware — and unapologetically authentic — version of myself. Six months later, I show up differently. I navigate conflict differently. I think differently about relationships, accountability, vulnerability, and impact.

I still have work to do. Good. That's the point.

But I can see the leader I am becoming more clearly — and Jeanine has helped me see her, too.

FOR PURPOSE-LED VISIONARIES: FUNDERS, FOUNDERS & EXECUTIVES

The power of cross-sector: The challenges you’re navigating—scaling vision while protecting capacity, leading an organization while impacting an ecosystem, leading through a time of unprecedented change and uncertainty—show up across sectors. When a foundation president, a social enterprise CEO, and a purpose-led executive sit together, they borrow each other’s lenses. They see their own situation with distance. They practice holding multiple paradigms. One leader's constraint — "I don't have what it takes" — became her strategy: "I can have a bigger impact with others." This is where the real leverage lives.

Funders

The challenge: You’re distributing millions toward systems change while navigating board dynamics, grantee relationships, and the weight of decisions that ripple far beyond your organization. You’re asked to be strategic and relational, visionary and accountable.

The vision: Your portfolio catalyzed a field-wide shift—grantees collaborating on strategy they co-created, not just executing isolated projects. Your senior team is collaborating and aligned—freeing your attention to finally engage the ecosystem and field-building you’ve known is essential but haven’t had space for until now.

Social Enterprise Founders & CEOs

The challenge: You’re building something that didn’t exist before—holding mission and margin, team growth and personal sustainability, the urgency of now and the long arc of change. The vision that called you forward is now stretching you and your team.

The vision: A clear filter—this is my joy and genius, this is what I release—and trusting both. Leaders on your team who run toward responsibility, freeing you to finally focus on the vision and growth work only you can do. Knowing the magic isn’t you holding everything—it’s developing leaders who build with you.

Purpose-Led Corporate Executives

The challenge: You’re driving impact inside larger systems —navigating organizational politics, budget cycles, and competing priorities while holding a vision your colleagues may not fully see and a desire to leverage your resources for real change.

The vision: A leadership team that brings solutions, not just problems—freeing your attention for values-aligned strategy. Leading through questions that unlock your people, not performing expertise you can’t have. Your full vision is finally welcome in a room of people who not only get it – but champion the work.

RESULTS: WHAT THIS MAKES POSSIBLE

When you expand your capacity to hold the vision, delegate with trust, and convene collective wisdom — your entire team rises. When you evolve from expert to convener, your team steps into their genius. When you shift from over-functioning to precision about your role, your whole organization transforms.

The right investment in you IS an investment in the team and your results.

A funder came in to move $1M fast for immigrants and refugees — what felt feasible, and heartbreakingly not enough. I asked one question: what's actually needed? The pause made room to see it. $3.5M, unanimously approved within a week — a more collaborative, more systemic strategy. Then came the work of deploying the capital. Navigating team dynamics. Strategic pivots, Bold delegation. Not just her team, orchestrating the ecosystem.

“That one conversation sparked a $3.5M initiative that funded 80+ additional grantees.”

—Lea Tienou-Gustofson, WES Mariam Assefa Fund

An executive stepped into the biggest role of his career — leading areas where he wasn't the expert, with strong leaders working in silos. As our work deepened, he named the one lever that mattered, delegated boldly and coached them consistently. They became a unified force — and he took his full parental leave, and was promoted.

“Our team has never executed with this much collaboration or care.”

—Kevin Albers, Cursor (formerly SVP Customer Support & Success, Slack & Trailhead)

One founder came in feeling like her strategy meetings were off — but couldn't name why.

I asked: "What do you really want — not for the meetings, but for the year?"

Seven-figure take-home. Six weeks off and quarterly deep dives. Results and revenue. Her team rising so she could really lean into them in a new way.

She thought that combination wasn't even on the table. Six weeks off and quarterly deep dives felt indulgent.

But we walked it together for a year — through pivots, strategic decisions, and the tensions she was metabolizing. The space she claimed — to resource herself, be present with her family, and think strategically — became the catalyst for the business.

The vision she thought was impossible? Inevitable. Those six weeks and quarterly retreats didn't just shift her capacity — they created the clarity that drove her results.

Seven figures. Strategic clarity. And a team that rose.

Meet Your Guide: Jeanine Becker

For two decades, I’ve  partnered with leaders at the intersection of vision, responsibilityity, and systems change—including foundation presidents distributing millions annually, CEOs of social enterprises reshaping cities and reimagining health systems, and executives at companies designing how millions communicate.

I work with people whose decisions ripple through industries, cities, and global systems — leaders carrying both immense responsibility and immense possibility.

What makes my work different:
I taught negotiation at Stanford for a decade — and learned interdependence solo-parenting, needing and really receiving support.

I studied Donella Meadows' work at the Academy for Systems Change — and learned to shift from control to creating conditions across a six-year fertility journey.

I've studied developmental psychology under Jennifer Garvey Berger and coached leaders through profound uncertainty — but I learned to hold paradox witnessing my daughter's first breath and my father's last within two weeks. She taught me: you don't hold paradox. You let it move you.

As a trusted guide, I hold self, team, organization, and system simultaneously—working at the highest leverage points where paradigms shift and new possibilities emerge. I bring vertical expertise across sectors, seeing patterns that leaders embedded in one domain cannot. I track for the lie—the gap between what you’re saying and what you know. Where others offer coaching or strategic advisory, I integrate both.

Collective Counsel Is For You If

You're holding a vision you know is needed — and you can feel it stretching you.

You're moving millions. In capital, revenue, policy, people. You're shaping the systems that will define what's next, in unprecedented complexity. And you're executing with a full plate, a full calendar, and full responsibility.

â—†

You feel most alive when the stakes are high, the terrain complex, and the impact matters. You love the impossible assignment. Not because it's hard — because it matters.

â—†

You've gotten here by being the capable one. The responsible one. The one who carries the vision when no one else can see it yet. Maybe because you can. Maybe because you always have.

â—†

This moment — with its pace of change, systems collapsing and possibility emerging — is asking for something different. Not more effort. Different capacity.

And that has been your superpower. What's calling you next, your bigger vision, does not need to be more weight. It asks for a different capacity: to convene, to create the conditions, and to build with others what you and your team can't build alone.

That's not a failure. It's your invitation.

Here's What Meeting This Moment Looks Like

One funder came to support immigrants and refugees facing urgent needs in this moment. She wanted to raise $1M. It's what felt feasible — and heartbreakingly not enough.
I asked: "What's actually needed? What do you really want?"
The pause created space to see what was truly needed: $3.5M, unanimously approved within a week — with a completely different strategy, more collaborative, more systemic. Not just her team. The ecosystem.
Then came the real work: deploying that capital over the year. Navigating team dynamics. Strategic pivots. Bold delegation. Orchestrating the ecosystem.
Wayfinding: staying true to the vision while letting what showed up become fuel.

"One conversation expanded my vision. I invited in my team, engaged our policy and program partners, and the result? A $3.5M initiative — unanimously approved — that's now resourcing 80+ grantees, supporting safety and security, and influencing other funders across the field." — Lea Tienou-Gustofson, WES Mariam Assefa Fund

This is your forge — not for a moment, but for a year.

Where you tend the fire through every season of change, navigate uncertainty with steady counsel, and lead transformation that sustains.
